hello people,
it seem sthat nox do not work on windows 8, as i already been told most of you just use windwis 7 to play nox.
if somene find a solution to how to make nox work on windows 8 properly please send me a msg, will be really helpful.

got a new computer, liek few months ago, and not long ago i finished army so i am much more free now to play.
and i remember this game, so i said YEA lets come back ^^. i dunno if some of the ppl i play alot with still play. but i would really like to come back to the game.
but then it seems nox wont work on windows 8 :( so i am scrwed, as there is no 16-bit on windows 8 and i need to find some new way to make it work.
ofc i wont change my system for the game, so ill have to find the solution the hard way.
oh and i dont remember my password or name on forum\game so i did a new one lolz =x

i found a way to activate the normal game through the compatibility my problem is that, i cant seem to have compatibility on the noxpatched one, there isnt such an option, i have no idea why tbh and there is supose to be...
will need help on this thanks

you can always rename NoxPatched.exe to Nox.exe - it will apply all compatibility settings you set up previously for Nox.exe.

the change name did not work, then again i changed it to something totaly random then i had the compatiblity.
so at least first step i passed and i can see the game opens well, but now i cannot go ito game as i need to change my desktop one to 65536.
i guess ill keep trying ot reasearch and see if i can make it work.
dont forget its windows 8 and unlike windows 7 it dosent have the 16 bit options (which sucks). so need to find alternative.

I solved this problem by reinstalling and downgrading Windows. I mean 8 to 7.

you guys are just jealous of the windows 8,
anyhow win 8 is really good, yea the downside it that old games dosent work on it and you need to find an allternative way. but overall its great.
so meh :P just takes abit of time to get used to it.

win8 isn't that bad, i liek that. anyways, install another OS and use it to run NoX.

Don't lie. Yes you can.
You need a patch (attached). Just unpack it into the game folder, overwriting files if needed.
If it still doesn't work, try to fiddle around with settings in noxSDL.cfg.

SDL patch has bug - you cannot play Solo game. But it really provides compatibility with Win7,Win8
