Hello dear Noxers!

As we all know, there are dedicated Nox servers in WOL. Advantages are easy to figure: always online at stable ping and smooth connection - and we don't need Hamachi to play.
Unfortunately, foreign servers are quite distant, so ping is way too high, inconvinient time zones... ugh. Thus the idea of creating NoXWorld's server was born. It faced some difficulties (no free computer, primarily), but in November 2010 Evengard found a way to launch a dedicated server and has been working on it since, perfecting the control system and so on. During these months the server proved reliability (Hooray!) and was often used for mass noxing.

So, what should one do to join NoXWorld server? Not very much - to install mix's patch (allowing direct game search via ip) and to add that line in game_ip.txt file:

91.107.104.204After that, just go Multiplayer -> Network and join just like a regular LAN game. If you can't see the server, either it is on maintainance or you have problems connecting. In the latter case just press "Find" button and type the same adress.

P.S.: It's a stretch but probably, if popular, the server will once see a brother or sister...

How to use the server now?
1. Be sure you are registered on our forum. Guests no longer can play on server!
2. Go to the registration page: REGISTRATION PAGE
3. Enter login and password (password twice), which you want to use for authorization on the server. ATTENTION! Password and login are sensitive to the character case!
4. Green message Account was succsessfully created means that your account is ready for using on the server. IF THERE IS NO GREEN MESSAGE, DO NOT TRY TO ENTER THE SERVER!
5. Join the server. When in, you will find youself in Observation Mode, that you can't leave.
6. Enter your login (simply type it as a chat message) with "//auth " prefix.
7. Enter your password with "//auth " prefix.
ATTENTION! Your must enter your login and password in DIFFERENT messages, NOT in one message!
Example:
[ENTER]//auth Evengard[ENTER]
[ENTER]//auth 12345[ENTER]
ATTENTION! Don't be afraid, no one else will get your password! Server cuts out all the messages of unauthorised users from server log!
8. After entering your login and password correctly you can leave observer mode by pressing left mouse button. IF YOU CAN'T LEAVE IT, make steps 6 and 7 once again. ATTENTION! It is very important not to write anything into the chat. Nobody will see your messages, moreover, you will face troubles logging in!

We recommend to simplify authorisation doing this:
1. Create in Nox directory file named login.rul
2. Write in login.rul this text:
say //auth YourLogin
say //auth YourPassword
3. Find autoexec.rul file in Nox folder and write in it in one line:
bind F2 "execrul login.rul"
4. Joining the game, instead of typing of your login and password just press F2.

Server updated!
1. Tried to fix the mapcycle logic by rewriting it from scratch
2. Added //auth prefix. Now you can authorise by this way:
//auth Evengard
//auth password
In this case if you entered your password with that prefix AFTER being authorised - it won't show up in the general chat. The old authorisation method also works.

WARNING!
Because of the complaints about lags on the server I created a test server!
Everyone registered before that can access it, no new accounts will be allowed here - think about it as about a beta test condition.
The ping is a bit higher, but there should be less lags. At least, I hope, and that is what I want to know from you - is it true.
Connection IP: 46.182.30.186
Server name: NoXWorldTest
Physically the server is situated in St Petersburg.

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!
For the paranoiac guys I created another authorisation method. Its security level is about 99,9% even on servers not equipped with the auth system.
So, input that in CONSOLE:
sysop //auth yourlogin
sysop //auth yourpass
And voila!

PS: all other authorisation methods works as usual.

PPS: the test server is DOWN until there is major problems with the main one!

Unseen has got sysop access to the server control. Now you can ask him about any stuff such as change maps/game modes/teams etc.

Please reduce to minimum asking me such requests.

WARNING!!!
The main and the test server were swapped!
Now the main server is the one which was called previously NoXWorldTest! Location: Saint-Petersbourg city.
Remainding its IP address: 46.182.30.186
Even more, data from this script: http://forum.noxworld.ru/serverScripts/servList.php - is now updated from this server!
The server, which was main previously, will be mainly switched off.
All logins and passwords remained unchanged.

WARNING!
Because of some major problems on the server (which should now be operational again - if it isn't, please notify me immediately!) we needed to restore the server Logins and Passwords Database from an old backup - the one made after the transfer of the main server from Moscow to St. Petersbourg.
Anyone registered after that tranfer please send me a Personal Message to restore the access to the server.
